Today was the First Annual Smith Family Blueberry Pickin' Event. It took a while to find the farm, but once we got started, we had 6 pints picked in less than half an hour. We paid our $12 and got back in the car, only to eat a pint on the drive home! Even picky Hannah ate a few! They were sweet and juicy and delicious.
We've planned to go back and get more when we're better prepared for the mosquitoes! Much of them will go in the freezer for baking and using in my morning oatmeal. Darrin and I can't wait to make some blueberry jam on Saturday. We're also going to try drying them, which the kids really like them that way.
