Holiday Visitors

We enjoyed visits from both grandparents in December. Darrin's Mom & Dad were here Dec. 4-8th. This is their 3rd visit to see us so no need for sight-seeing, just a relaxful visit to sit around and play with the kids. Grandma helped build our annual gingerbread house. Grandpa learned a bit about Xbox games from Preston. We did get out to our church Christmas party (the kids and I sang) and enjoyed a yummy ham dinner. On Saturday, we ate Dixie Belle's BBQ (our favorite) and enjoyed an afternoon at the movies to see BOLT.

My parents were able to make their first East Coast visit the week of Christmas. They drove out and were able to hit some sights in Virginia and the Outer Banks before arriving here on the 23rd. We took them around the area on the 24th, and fed them some pulled pork from Dixie Belle's, but it was mostly a trip focusing on the Christmas day festivities, which kept us warm inside the house. Our family was so glad that they were able to visit & see our beautiful area.
