Our oldest is now 10- can't believe we've reached double digits! She is turning into a beautiful young lady and is in 4th grade. She just received her 3rd quarter report card. Our school system doesn't use percentage grades with A,B,C, but uses a dumb system of 4,3,2,1 for the students' marks. A 4 is very rare to get and 3 is considered "doing grade level work". Haylee received all 3 and 3* (yes, they use a star symbol like a plus sign).
She continues to practice piano, with my nagging, but is a very good pianist. She started recorder in school and likes playing it. She is currently reading the 6th Harry Potter book. If she could do anything during her free-time, it would be playing X-box (especially Halo 3, which comes from her father. I have nothing to do with this!!!!!!!!!!!) She also LOVES Webkinz and owns 18 of these little stuffed animals! (And no, I have not bought but just a few of them... many have come as gifts or she has saved her money.)

She was forced into taking Tae Kwon Do last summer with Darrin and Hannah since we'd get a better deal in a family package and thought the discipline would be good for her. Well, she hesitantly went and LOVED it! She has excelled beyond our wildest imagination and now wants to become a black belt. (Hannah and Darrin dropped out.)
We weren't happy with the TKD school so we switched her to a local Karate school and she is doing a great job in the transition. Within a month, she graduated to a gold belt and will receive her brown tip in about 2 weeks.
