Preston's Compliment

OK- A first event EVER happened today that has inspired me to sit down and blog. Preston is quite sick today with probably some cold virus that has aggravated his asthma. He's been pretty grumpy because the coughing and wheezing began yesterday and he didn't get much sleep. (I didn't either and had to be at an early church meeting this morning.) Every little thing makes him cry and he's had a pretty bad attitude, BUT... as I had set his dinner down in front of him, he said something he's never said before. "Mommy, you looked beautiful for your meeting today." I thought I'd heard him correctly, but I said, "What???" He repeated it and gave a sad, pathetic smile. I had to pick him up and give him a huge squeeze. I told him he could say that every day and I'd never tire of it! Of course, I had to quickly put him back down because his radiating fever was making me hot! :)
