A Texas Baby Shower

I'm finally getting some pictures up from my trip to Lubbock last month. I enjoyed getting to see my family and be a part of the festivities as we prepare for the arrival of a baby nephew soon.

My sisters put on a beautiful shower for my brother's wife, Becky. The whole event was very much geared towards Becky's taste and style: Tiffany Blue instead of baby blue was appreciated by those who know she's a jeweler and likes the finer things in life! Ashley made the decorations- Martha Stewart tissue poms, the clothesline of John and Becky as babies, and the "baby" banner out of flexible twine stuff. (don't remember the name) Amy prepared her beautiful house and borrowed lots of crystal and silver serving items to add her touch of elegance.

I planned and prepared the food, except for the chicken minis from Chick-fil-A, Becky's favorite food! There were mini quiches from scratch, cucumber sandwiches, sausage balls, a cracker/cheese tray and fruit tray. My mom made the cake (which was just for show and was eaten later) and the cupcake tree. I'm sure you'll agree that it's awesome in replicating the invitation and Becky and her poodle, Tootsie. I would love to make something so precious.

About 25 or so attended, including Becky's mom and sister and niece from out-of-town. She came away with some adorable clothes for the little man.

Here's a few pics.
